It’s official: Avinash Kaushik joins Google

A unusally extensive post on the Google Analytics blog on the recent hiring of Avinash Kaushik.

Avinash, an internationally acclaimed Web Analytics guru, worked at Intuit until very recently and hinted at his career move as he prepared his new book “Web Analytics, one hour a day“.

I, for one, salute his decision! Go Avinash! 🙂

You can pre-order his book from Amazon.

New site for WebAnalytics.be

Since my arrival at OX2 last November, I have been working hand in hand with:

Together, we set up and build WebAnalytics.be‘s new site.

WebAnalytics.be is OX2‘s Web Analytics dedicated business unit.

The new site was built entirely around OX2’s content management system, OniSystem, which comes with Web Analytics and multi-variable testing built-in.

Lego MMORPG – whatever

Lego brickJust when you thought no one would get a decent idea to challenge World of Warcraft and its terrificly succesful launch of the Burning Crusade expansion pack, some Danish toy company (hint hint) announced they are going to release a MMORPG some time in 2008.

Now don’t get me wrong, the whole Lego/Star Wars video games series was great but we all know what happened to Star Wars: Galaxies…

I have to be honest, I’m curious about the premise and implementation thereof, especially in terms of player interaction, class system, trade, and *shiver* player vs. player combat.

On the bright side, rendering 3D lego bricks should not be difficult technically 😀

Discuss.
